I know we haven’t posted for a while, but that’s just because Daddycat’s so lazy, It’s not because I’ve been ill or anything.
This morning, Mommacat noticed I had a lump on my bottom lip, but it didn’t bother me or anything, cos I’m a manly tough boycat. So they decided to leave it for a day and see if it went away.
By this evening, it still hadn’t gone down, so Mommacat & Daddycat decided to take me to the vet. I’ve only been to the vet once before, and they stole my boy-bits! Anyway, I was very nervous as we were in the waiting room, and I might have trembled a little bit!
Anyway, the Vet called me in, and I was really surprised! She was a lady Vet! Of course, being a boycat, I turned on my charm, and let her move me around and poke me in the mouth, and I didn’t make a squeak! She was very nice Vet and was called Kate Panek-Kaminska from Anderson Veterinary Group so any nervous cats in Orpington can see her and feel happy.
She said she wondered if it might be “fatty chin” (has anyone heard of that?) which might be a bit serious, but thought it would be best to treat it as a deep skin infection first with antibiotics and anti-inflammatry stuff, and if it didn’t clear up in a few days, then she’d have a more serious look at it.
I think I deserve some sympathy and treets, don’t you?
Wait! What’s she doing in that cupboard of syringes????

Teego we are sorry you have a bump on your lip and had to go to the vet. We hope that it clears up with the medicine and isn’t that fatty chin thing – we never heard of that but it doesn’t sound like it would be any fun to have. So we are purring and praying for it to go away quickly!
We are purraying the antibiotics work and you don’t have to need anything further. Please, keep us posted!
Oh no, I sure hope that thing goes away with the meds, we’re purring on you!
Oh Teego, that last picture strikes chills into the heart of kitties everywhere!
I hope you heal quickly!
My Titchy Teego! Not only were you very brave at the vets but you even glared at that big spotty dalmatian dog AND the Himalayan mountain bear creature that we saw there. That’s my boy!
Awwwww sweet Teego!! Please take care and take your meds and rest and have lots and lots and lots of treats!!! I hope that thingie on your lip clears up soon!! You are a very brave and lovely mankitty!
Take care
x
Yikes! We hope the meds do the trick, Teego! It’s not like feline acne, that you can get from eating off plastic dishes, is it? We assume not….but did the vet rule out a reaction to some substance?
Paws crossed all will be just fine!
Fatty Chin doesn’t sound too bad…it’s better than fatty liver.
oh poor baby! let us know how it goes. we don’t think your chin looks fat at alL!
mwah!
We hope the antibiotics work and your chin is soon better.
Oh dear, poor Teego! Some of those pictures look like the eosinophilic granuloma complex ulcers that Harley used to get on his chin. I hope it gets all better soon!
That looks ouchy, hope it gets better.
That bump looks painful! We hope you got treats for being a good boy
Poor litte Teego, hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick. I must say you did look petrified in the cage
Lots of love Ben & Cookie xx
I hope it’s nothing serious! You should get ham.
We hope your lip gets better quickly with your medication and you won’t need to go back to the torturers.
Poor Teego, lumps and bumps are no fun. We don’t know what fatty chin is, but we hope that your spot goes away very quickly.
You have really lovely fangs.
Whicky Wuudler
Poor Teego! It looks like it would be quite sore, but it’s good if it doesn’t bother you. Your folks are quite right to get it looked at sooner than later.
I sure hope that the antibiotics will take care of it. It’s very stressful going to the vet, isn’t it?
Ouch – that looks hurty! We hope they get rid of it fast.

That lip looks hurty, Teego. Sending purrrrss that it is nothing serious and really easy to treat.
Poor Teego! Hope your chin feels better soon. I agree with Daisy — what’s on your chin looks a lot like eosinophilic granuloma complex. My mean older siser, Tanith, gets that, too.
Our Grandma had a kitty that had something that looked like that. It turned out to be an allergy to the food she was eating. We hope your bump gets better soon!
Teego, I get bumps and sores on my mouth sometimes. The v-e-t says I have allergies…at first we thought it might be food allergies but we think it may be environmental too. We hope the medicines help.
